Der Architekt Josep Puig i Cadafalch errichtete hier eines seiner markantesten Bauwerke: die Fabrik Casaramona, die heute das Kulturzentrum CaixaF\u00f2rum beherbergt.[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=“169309″]<\/p>\n

Das Jahr 1929 bildete einen wichtigen Wendepunkt f\u00fcr Barcelona im Allgemeinen und insbesondere f\u00fcr den Montju\u00efc: Die Weltausstellung 1929 diente als gro\u00dfes internationales Schaufenster und hinterlie\u00df ein umfassendes Erbe, darunter das Poble Espanyol. Ein weiteres Beispiel ist der deutsche Ausstellungspavillon von Mies van der Rohe, der zun\u00e4chst abgebaut, jedoch sp\u00e4ter am gleichen Standort wieder errichtet wurde.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Das eindrucksvollste Geb\u00e4ude der Weltausstellung ist jedoch zweifellos der Palau Nacional von Barcelona, der heute das Nationale Kunstmuseum von Katalonien (Museu Nacional d\u2018Art de Catalunya \u2013 MNAC) beherbergt. Das in einer Kombination aus Renaissance- und Barockstil errichtete Bauwerk steht f\u00fcr zwei symboltr\u00e4chtige Architekturstile der spanischen Geschichte und gr\u00fc\u00dft auch heute noch majest\u00e4tisch die Besucher des Montju\u00efc. Zu seinen F\u00fc\u00dfen befindet sich der Font M\u00e0gica genannte Springbrunnen, der Donnerstag-, Freitag- und Samstagabend ein faszinierendes Wasser-, Licht- und Klangschauspiel bietet. Ein zweites gro\u00dfes Erbe der Weltausstellung 1929 ist das Messegel\u00e4nde Fira de Barcelona mit markanten Geb\u00e4uden im Bereich zwischen Pla\u00e7a d\u2018Espanya und Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina. Es dient heute das ganze Jahr \u00fcber als Veranstaltungsort f\u00fcr Besucher- und Fachmessen sowie Kulturfestivals.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus befindet sich unweit des MNAC ein weiteres gro\u00dfes Museum der Stadt: die Stiftung Joan Mir\u00f3. Sie beherbergt und zeigt das Erbe des K\u00fcnstlers Joan Mir\u00f3 aus Barcelona, eines bedeutenden Vertreters des Surrealismus, dessen Bewegung zur Zeit der Weltausstellung 1929 einen H\u00f6hepunkt erlebte, wenngleich das derzeitige Geb\u00e4ude aus den 70er Jahren stammt. Ihr Fundus umfasst mehr als 10.000 Kunstwerke und l\u00e4dt dazu ein, das Leben und Werk dieses Malers kennenzulernen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
