Urspr\u00fcnglich war geplant, das Gel\u00e4nde nach der Weltausstellung wieder abzurei\u00dfen \u2013 doch die Sch\u00f6pfer entschieden, es zu einem dauerhaften <strong>Projekt zu machen<\/strong>. Und so geschah es.<\/p>\n<p>Die Bauarbeiten begannen am 19. Daher fanden jeden Tag unz\u00e4hlige Kultur- und Freizeitveranstaltungen statt: Volksfeste mit Tanz- und Volkstanzvorf\u00fchrungen, M\u00e4rkte und Tanzkonzerte, Wettbewerbe und sogar Reitturniere. Das \u201etypische spanische Dorf\u201c war eine der Hauptattraktionen der Weltausstellung.
