La Calçotada at the Poble

Next Saturday, March 7, the Plaça Major at Poble Espanyol turns into the heart of one of Catalonia’s most unique traditions: La Calçotada, a festive celebration of food, music, and fun served.

A calçotada is a traditional Catalan event where locals gather to eat calçots (a type of sweet green onion) grilled over open flames and dipped in romesco sauce. It’s messy, social, and a whole lot of fun. At this event, you’ll find grilled calçots, butifarra sausages, wine tastings, a calçot-eating contest, tapas corners, and plenty of opportunities to eat with your hands, get a little messy, and end the day with live music and party vibes.

Some Saturdays are for quick plans, and others are for staying all day with friends, family, or just anyone you meet along the way. It’s part of the ritual: eat without hesitation, share the table, get your hands a little dirty, and let the post-meal fun carry on at its own pace.

La Renga – May 17

In May 2026, La Renga goes back to the route with “One more bird on the fly”, a well-drained tour: raw, close and with all the energy that characterizes them. The band returns to the stage to meet with their people, share classics and put these new songs that already demand track.

They will be nights of good rock, of singing to the screams and of living this ritual that only Renga can arm. May, route, friends and strong music: the band invites everyone to get up wants once again.
