Calçotada with views
Calçotada is a barbecue or a feast of calçots. Barbecue of onions? It may sound strange, but it’s much more than that! It’s a true Catalan tradition, a festive gathering where people enjoy eating calçots, grilled meats, and drinking local wine together, having fun and celebrating authentic local food. The calçots themselves are a special type of green onion, grilled over an open flame and served with romesco sauce, a delicious mix of roasted peppers, nuts, and olive oil. Eating them is a hands-on experience (peeling, dipping, and tasting each one) making the calçotada not just a meal, but a lively and social culinary celebration.
