In 1945, Juan Domènech Polo opened a jewellery workshop in Poble Espanyol, which was handed over by the Barcelona City Council to help artisans. Visitors to Poble Espanyol at that time wanted to buy the pieces they saw the artisans creating in their workshops and, as demand grew, the decision was taken to open the workshops up to the public.
From her grandfather, the founder, it was passed down to MªÁngeles Domènech, granddaughter of the founder and third generation to run the family business.
They create their own designs and assemble necklaces, earrings and bracelets using different materials depending on the design and size of the stones, pearls and crystals.
The materials used for the collections are cultured freshwater pearls, natural stones, silver and crystals among others. The materials are selected by the artisan herself in order to give them the touch of simplicity and quality they deserve.
