Who are they?
Tasta skolekorps (Tasta School Brass Band) was founded in 1950 and has been of great importance to the local community and the city. It has 100 members and is divided into four bands of different ages: The Junior Band (8-9 years), The Intermediate Band (9-10 years), The Youth Band (10-12 years) and The Senior Band (12-19 years).
Its aim is to remain one of the best rated school bands in Norway and to achieve this by combining a good social atmosphere in the band with high quality music education in co-operation with the City’s cultural school. The band has a high level of activity and its members participate in local, regional and national championships.
