Amparo has more than 30 years of experience working in the craft of handmade jewellery. Her speciality is the creation of unique pieces with natural stones and the transformation of old jewellery into new designs.

At the Cabasset workshop-shop, every bag tells a story. They are unique, beautiful, and practical pieces, handmade from materials with character: upcycled fabrics —tapestries, vintage sheets, denim— and materials sourced from small local shops in Barcelona.

The Cal Terrissaire workshop is a creative space with a traditional pottery wheel with various Catalan influences. It currently offers a wide range and incorporates new tools, techniques and firing processes to offer quality and creative handicrafts.

Casa Otero
Encarna is Poble Espanyol's oldest master artisan. Casa Otero is an embroidery workshop and she herself designs and produces the Filtré, a drawing with thread on the fabric, and the Vainica, borders and folds of the fabric. The workshop produces and sells hand embroidery.

Encís
Miquel and Anna have been painting glass since they were 16 years old and set up their workshop in Poble Espanyol in 2000. Before this, they ran a shop in Barcelona where they sold glass pieces to end customers and at fairs.
Nowadays, they decorate glass objects in different formats (serial pieces and unique pieces).

Mohamed est établi au Poble Espanyol depuis 1996. Il a ouvert son nouvel atelier Fustaliss en 2019 et depuis, il s'est spécialisé principalement dans les jouets en bois.

Glunt is an accessories brand created in 2016. They have a collection of bracelets and accessories designed and made manually in Barcelona, with a minimalist, current and casual style. Being a handmade product, they give the possibility of customizing the products.

Les Perles
Marta Comas is the third generation running Les Perles, a family business founded by her grandfather and later continued by her mother, M.ª Àngels Domènech. The shop, specializing in handcrafted jewellery and artisan products, is the oldest in the Poble Espanyol.
Although Marta did not follow in her grandfather’s footsteps as a jeweller, she has kept the family’s artisanal spirit alive, creating a space where her own designs coexist with carefully curated pieces. In addition, Les Perles has been an Official Agency for the prestigious MAJORICA pearl brand for over 60 years — a true symbol of quality and elegance.

She opened the shop-workshop in Poble Espanyol in Barcelona in 2001. In the workshop, she makes prints on scarves, fans, bracelets, earrings... All the pieces are hand-painted and have a one-of-a-kind design.

Oksana is a dressmaker who makes bespoke flamenco and traditional dresses. From 2013 to 2017, she worked in haute couture in Barcelona designing wedding dresses. She opened her shop in Poble Espanyol 8 years ago.

Create a unique piece in the Cal Terrissaire workshop. In this activity, you will work on a handcrafted white clay piece that has already been fired and is ready to be decorated.

TRENCADÍS MOSAIC
Learn the most emblematic technique of Catalan Modernism. In the Vitraloi workshop, you can decorate a flat figure using trencadís, the famous mosaic method using colored ceramic fragments popularized by Antoni Gaudí.

PAINT YOUR WOODEN TOY
The favorite corner for little artists. In the Fustaliss workshop, toys come to life through color. Designed so that the little ones can create their own ideal toy, they will choose a natural wooden piece and paint it however they like.

Decorative painting

Design and create a painting with gutta. Led by the artisan artist and textile expert David Valeri, you'll become artisans for a day.
You'll choose a nice drawing which you'll then use to create the decorative painting.
You'll work with gutta and, following David's steps and instructions, you'll create a personalised painting.

Jewellery

Accompanied by the artisan Amparo Valencia, you will learn how to make beautiful silver earrings and personalise them to your taste, creating your own shape and design for engraving.
You will learn how to solder, saw, polish and engrave with Amparo.

Leather

Led by the artisan Julián Sañudo, you'll become experts in leather, in particular in cowhide leather.
You'll learn the basics of working with leather and how to give this historic material a personal touch.
You'll get the chance to engrave, sew, dye, among other techniques following the steps of the artisan Julián Sañudo, as well as doing an embossed painting, a belt or a leather bag.

Stamping

Accompanied by craftswoman Lourdes Perelló you will become a craftsman or craftswoman for a day, more specifically textile experts.
You will learn the faux batik technique to decorate a silk scarf that you can take with you on the same day.
You will work with Asian materials and, following Lourdes’s steps and instructions, you will personalise a silk scarf.
