Casa del Marqués de la Floresta (Tàrrega, Lleida)
Casa del Marqués de la Floresta was built in Tàrrega in the 13th century by the Ardévol family. It is one of the most striking examples of Catalan civil Romanesque-style architecture.
It was originally built to be used as hospital, however, in the 12th century, it fell into the hands of marquises and their families. In 1940, it was demolished and its stones were kept in the city cemetery.
In 1955, the Town Council gave the Mutua Patronal de Tàrrega the façade of the palace so that it could be rebuilt on a building on Carrer del Carme, exactly where the palace had once been.
