DISCOVER ALL THE CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES IN BARCELONA

Poble Espanyol offers children’s activities in Barcelona and leisure activities in a historic, open-air setting. This is the basis of the year-round programme offered by Poble Espanyol, and this summer is no exception. In addition to the musical events framed under the umbrella of Nits en Viu, the Montjuïc venue is also adding children’s events in Barcelona from Saturday 16 July.

There are many advantages to doing children’s activities in Poble Espanyol: a safe, open-air space, free of traffic and a unique venue for a quiet stroll.

The children’s and family leisure activities will be complemented with creative and original craft workshops, inspired by the summer and the activities that take place on the site. The artisans who work every day at the site will be on hand to teach children and adults how to make ceramic, glass, silk, wicker, wood or fabric objects with their own hands, which they will be able to take home with them. The workshops are priced apart from the entrance fee, which ranges from €3 to €20.

Rock&Kids

After the success of previous editions, the family Rock&Kids cycle is back with four kids-friendly live concerts, concerts adapted to the ears and needs of the little ones by renowned tribute bands that will make children and adults sing and dance and will take mothers, fathers and even grandparents through the greatest hits of national and international rock bands: Fito&Fitipaldis (Fitos y el fitipaldi), The Beatles (The Beatboys), Scorpions (Escorpiones) and Loquillo (TR3ESEFES) ). Rock&Kids will take place on 16 and 30 July, 13 and 27 August. The Beatles tribute concert (30 July) will include the Iaia Rockera, a fun character who will encourage families to sing and dance to the great songs of the legendary Liverpool band.

Summer Street Escape

Every Saturday from 16th July until 27th August, families will be able to “lose themselves” in the streets and squares of the Poble de Gràcia with the first Summer Street Escape of the Poble de Gràcia. Teamwork, ingenuity and lots of fun are the main components of this hour-long proposal that will turn each family group into a detective agency with the aim of finding 4 coloured cats. The animals, fascinated by the architecture of Poble Espanyol, have left clues in the buildings on the site. If the participants manage to collect all the clues and locate the Gaticorn Màgic… they will be able to save all the cats in the world!

The Summer Street Escape del Poble is an educational and fun activity for children, ideal for getting to know every corner of the site, discovering its history and having a great time with the family in a safe and unique environment in Barcelona.

Tickets for Rock&Kids and the Summer Street Escape, on sale at www.poble-espanyol.com, include a visit to the entire Poble Espanyol on the day of the activity so that families can tour the site enjoying its architecture, the Fran Daurel Museum of contemporary art, a photographic exhibition on the origins and construction process of the Village, the audiovisual installations and the giant slides. In addition, you can access the Poble’s craft workshops, where it is also possible to take part in quick workshops adapted to all ages.

Rock&Kids will take place in the Village, a new space for complete cultural experiences.

This summer, the Montjuïc venue is inaugurating the Village space, an area expressly designed to offer an experience that goes beyond live music and designed for both adults and children. In this space, adjacent to the concerts and shows area, specially decorated and located under a pine forest, attendees will be able to enjoy local gastronomic proposals and ambient music both before and after the shows.
